Arte nas Estações celebrates Brazilian diversity through its artistic expressions. With powerful exhibitions and transformative educational programs, it decentralizes the traditional Rio–São Paulo axis, spotlighting the work of self-taught artists.

In its first edition, it featured three traveling thematic exhibitions across the cities of Ouro Preto, Congonhas, and Conselheiro Lafaiete, totaling nine group shows over eight months.

Our projects are Carbon Neutral!

Is it possible to bring together art, nature, and environmental responsibility in a single project?

This question has guided A-PONTE throughout the development of all our projects. More than exhibitions, our initiatives are a statement of purpose. Every detail is designed with the commitment to deliver an artistic experience that is both ethical and environmentally responsible.

The result is a Carbon Neutral project, inviting visitors to rethink their relationship with the world. This certification ensures that all greenhouse gas emissions generated by the exhibitions are neutralized through the purchase of carbon credits from UN-validated projects. In this way, we foster dialogue between art and environmental preservation, reinforcing that culture is also a tool for environmental transformation.

Brasil em Pixels transforms urban spaces into digital galleries, democratizing access to art by showcasing works by 30 artists from across the country on OOH screens. Reaching 40 million people daily, the project combines art, technology, and education, celebrating Brazil’s cultural diversity. In partnership with OOH media companies, it promotes inclusion, accessibility, digital training, and educational actions aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a Carbon Neutral seal.

The VELOZ project explores the relationship between contemporary art and urban space through exhibitions in Metrô Rio stations. Focused on inclusion and accelerating the careers of young artists, it promotes democratic access to art and culture, connecting artistic practices to the city’s daily life. Six exhibitions will be held across three selected stations, featuring curatorship, catalogs, documentaries, and a broad integrated communication campaign.

PantaNOW is a socio-educational and cultural initiative by SESI-MS that strengthens the bond between industry and the local community through activities combining art, education, and environmental awareness. It promotes a lasting positive impact, encouraging active public participation. In partnership with A-Ponte, the project aims to democratize access to art, fostering the emancipation of local artists and promoting visual arts as a profession, a way of life, leisure, and a transformative language.

The Raiz Project proposes to requalify the public space of Campo Grande (MS) – Parque das Nações Indígenas – by creating cultural references that engage with the history, fauna, flora, and ancestry of the region, particularly the Pantanal and Cerrado, through artistic interventions. Its mission is to provide an experience of contemporary art and diverse educational activities while reinforcing the recognition of the site as a symbolic, historical, and political territory of the municipality.

The second edition of Projeto Maravilha features the participation of artist Anna Bella Geiger, whose career of over 50 years has been defined by her exploration of landscape, territory, and identity. This choice reflects a commitment to Brazilian and Latin American art history and showcases works that directly engage with geography and displacement — central themes to Sugarloaf Mountain and the Parque Bondinho Pão de Açúcar®.

Arte nas Estações is an innovative project that revives national memory and its artistic expressions. By highlighting popular artists from various regions of Brazil, it emphasizes education, culture, and art in different locations, building new audiences in an open and free way. In another edition, the project contributes to audience development through spaces for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and learning centered on popular culture.

Nuvangard proposes a futures literacy journey that combines playful narrative, art, science, and technology to stimulate critical thinking in new generations. Through a fictional path, participants interact with real and artificial characters, face missions, and solve problems in creative and collaborative ways. The experience culminates in a spontaneous theater performance, where they explore possible future scenarios, engage with emerging technologies, encounter cutting-edge artistic expressions, and face dilemmas that spark reflection and expand critical capacity.

Appointed by the Museum’s Board of Directors as the new Executive Director in 2020, Fabio Szwarcwald – CEO of A-PONTE – began his tenure with the goal of making the institution more accessible, welcoming, diverse, transparent, and economically sustainable.

Key achievements included free admission with suggested contributions, the reactivation of the Bloco Escola, the expansion of online presence (3D tours and interactive exhibitions), an artist residency program, the development of an educational program with accessibility and a focus on the museum’s surroundings, as well as a patrons and members program, among others.

As director of the Escola de Artes Visuais (EAV) at Parque Lage, A-Ponte’s CEO, Fabio Szwarcwald, led an innovative administration that ensured long-term financial sustainability and shielded the school from financial dependence on the State.

Several initiatives were implemented, such as partnerships with institutes and art galleries, restoration projects, scholarships for training programs, monthly exhibitions, and guided visits. The Queermuseu exhibition was a highlight, achieving significant fundraising and engagement.
